Florida recognizes continuing education provided by ASWB ACE–approved providers for license renewal. Florida social workers (LCSWs) must complete 30 hours of continuing education every two years, including: 3 hours in ethics and boundaries, 3 hours in laws and rules (specific to Florida), 2 hours on prevention of medical errors, and 2 hours in domestic violence (every third renewal period).
Boards are the final authority on course acceptance for continuing education credit.

Are SWTP CEUs accepted in Florida?
Yes. The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling accepts most continuing education from ASWB ACE–approved providers. SWTP CEUs Provider #2486 meets those criteria. Courses specific to Florida laws and rules are not yet offered.

Do you report my credits to the Florida Board?
No. Florida social workers maintain their own CE records for renewal. SWTP CEUs retains records and can reissue certificates anytime on request.

How many CE hours do Florida social workers need?
How many hours do Florida social workers need? 30 hours every two years, including 3 in ethics, 3 in laws and rules, and 2 in medical errors. A 2-hour domestic violence CE is required every third renewal.

When will I receive my certificate?
Immediately after you complete the course, pass the post-test, and submit a quick evaluation.
Accreditation
WTP CEUs (provider number 2486), is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.
ACE provider approval period: 10/24/2025 - 10/24/2026. Social workers completing this course receive 3.0 Clinical continuing education credits.
Program Details
POSTTEST REQUIREMENTS
A 20-question posttest follows the course materials. A passing score of 80% is required to receive CE credit. Retakes are available if the passing score is not met.
CERTIFICATES
To earn CE credit, participants must complete the full course, achieve a passing score of 80% on the posttest, and submit the course evaluation. Certificates of completion are issued automatically upon successful completion.
ASSIGNMENTS
No outside assignments are required.
