Upon completion of Assessment and Reporting of Abuse, participants will be able to:
Analyze the theoretical foundations and evidence base of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy within social work practice.
Identify and apply core CBT concepts, including the cognitive triangle, automatic thoughts, and common cognitive distortions.
Describe key CBT assessment and case formulation techniques, such as functional analysis and thought records.
Explain and implement fundamental CBT interventions, including cognitive restructuring and behavioral activation.
Evaluate cultural, ethical, and social justice considerations when adapting CBT for diverse client populations.
SWTP CEUs (provider number 2486), is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 10/24/2025 - 10/24/2026. Social workers completing this course receive 5.75 clinical continuing education credits.
POSTTEST REQUIREMENTS A 20-question posttest follows the course materials. A passing score of 80% is required to receive CE credit. Retakes are available if the passing score is not met.
CERTIFICATES To earn CE credit, participants must complete the full course, achieve a passing score of 80% on the posttest, and submit the course evaluation. Certificates of completion are issued automatically upon successful completion.
ASSIGNMENTS No outside assignments are required for this course.
